Happy Blessed Easter Sunday everyone!
I know that today many are celebrating with family and friends, eating a lot of food, having chocolate, egg hunts, and baskets filled with goodies; in all this the truth of this most important of high holidays in a Christian life can easily be forgotten. Jesus was raised from the dead on this day, our sins washed away by his sacrifice, and that love endures for always.
Remember, on this day and all the others to follow, to invite Jesus into our hearts and lives, and to keep him at the head of our households. Say the Lord's prayer as Jesus taught us to pray and ask Him to come into our hearts.
"Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, forever and ever, in Jesus name, amen."
